HOMURA is based on our Original KOUREN model - a very popular Large Grip Shinai. The balance of HOMURA is designed to keep the weight towards the hands, making the tip feel light, allowing for sharp, fast strikes, made with precision and ease.

Each HOMURA Shiai comes complete with leather fittings, and perfect for those looking for a Shinai with a light-feeling balance!

Made using deep smoked Bamboo, the smoking process infuses the staves with carbon, which is said to provide additional flexibility, helping to prevent breakage. Often referred to as 'Bio', these smoked Shinai present a deep brown colour, and are currently popular with several of Japan's top Kendo practitioners.
